MARLBOROUGH
Sauvignon Blanc like nowhere else on earth.
A COMPLETE EXPRESSION OF MARLBOROUGH
At the top of New Zealand’s South Island and famous around the world for its crisp, tropical purity of fruit, and utterly inimitable wines, Marlborough is a special place for wine.
Since 1989, Dashwood wines have taken both their name and distinctive style from the Dashwood Pass: a winding road that connects Marlborough’s premier winegrowing regions, the main Wairau Valley and lesser-known Awatere Valley.
Both characterised by stony, alluvial soils with low fertility, the vines focus their energy on producing attractive, perfumed fruit, and the cool maritime climate means intense flavours are built up over a long ripening period. We endeavour to craft wines that showcase our region’s remarkable terroir.
By blending fruit from a sustainably farmed estate and grower vineyards in both valleys, our wines are bright, yet textured and intriguing.
Sustainably preserving our land
We have been tending vineyards and making wine in Marlborough for over thirty years. Our home is important to us, and we see our role as caretaker of this part of the world. We strive to minimise or eliminate any activities that are wasteful or harmful for the environment so that future generations can continue to enjoy our extraordinary landscape.
All our vineyards are sustainably farmed and Dashwood winery is Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand (SWNZ) certified.
